HERE IS A LIST FOR WHAT KIND OF THINGS ARE NEEDED:
- HARD CANDY: individually wrapped such as Twizzlers, Tootsie Rolls,
Tootsie Roll Pops, Bubble Gum, Skittles, Lollipops, Life Savers, Sweet Tarts, Bit-O-Honey etc,
- COOKIES: Soldiers prefer to receive wrapped cookies due to security
reasons. Once your soldier gets to the point that they feel comfortable with you then homemade will be good to send.
Put yourself in their position.
- Microwave Popcorn
- Peanuts, pretzels, other type snack foods but be sure to send small packets, they go around much better,
easier to distribute.
- Coffee, creamer, sugar, tea bags, hot chocolate, cider etc.
- Wet Wipes
- Hand Sanitizers
- Sunscreen
- Wrap-around sunglasses with case preferred
- Batteries in any size but you might want to ask them what type they need
- Small pencil sharpener
- Kool-aid, Gatorade and other mix type drinks
- Starbucks coffee is hot item wanted in Kuwait
- Blank assorted greeting Cards
- TOILETRY ITEMS: non-aerosol shaving cream, razors, toothbrush,
toothpaste, shower soap/gel type, feminine items
- Videos and Music Cassettes
- Playing cards and small board games as chess, Yahtzee, checkers, Parcheesi, Uno etc
- Paperback books current such as mysteries, action, drama, sci-fi
- Holiday decorations
- Letters from school classes and pictures
- Community Video: Create a community video of different
people in your hometown thanking all the troops, add a school play or musical to that and you make some troops happy.
(MAYBE THE CHEERLEADERS, FOOTBALL TEAM, DANCE TEAM, CHOIR, VOLLEYBALL TEAM, DRAMA CLUB, CAN DO SOME KIND OF PRODUCTION FOR
THE TROOPS. I KNOW THEY WOULD ALL LOVE IT. MAYBE THE TV CLASS TEACHER CAN DO THE VIDEO!)
